I went through this earlier, and to me, it just takes quick coordination and reflexes to get through this one.
* As given, use the Light of Seborrhin on the Harbingers. The first few you can smite before the first grp of Margonites comes down the stairs.
* Know when the attacking group of Margonites will come. This is very key because a fresh group of them spawn after you wipe the previous group from where the Harbinger of Nightfall is. So kill one, wipe a stationary group of Margonites, use the Light on any Harbinger in the way, and so on, until you get to the Harbinger of Nightfall.
* It takes 3 globes of Light of Seborrhin to take out the Harbinger of Nightfall
* There are two Harbingers on top of the stairs you can smite for the Bonus. It can be real tricky because they are placed well off the main path, and of course, a group of Margonites will continue to spawn and try to attack the Horticulturist. However, if you can manage to do that, you get Masters. Not really needed unless you're going for Protector of Elona.

The difficulty of the mission, imo, are the patrols.
Also spent some time trying to beat the miss until I found out a very good party, coordenated and smart. Key is wait for patrol and kill it, then kill a stationary group, wait for patrol, kill a stationary group, and so on..
Try to keep the spirits alive, cause the closer they are, the faster u do the miss/the easier it becomes.
For bonus, key is leaving a party member in the middle to warn you when the patrol comes, while the others fight the harbingers upstairs. As soon as u are warned of a patrol coming, immediatly go down the stairs and fight it and then return to the bonus.
Finnaly, for the last part make sure 3 of your party members have lights, and then just rush in and drop em near the harbinger of nightfall and the mission will end.

MMs and plenty of corpses to go around
If you have 2 then it's gg seriously. If your doing it solo or with another person then set up the lights nearby before you attack the Harbringer of Nightfall. The bonus is the tricky part to be honest. That took me forever to do to get Protector of Elona title

the whole of nightfall is henchable as long as you are careful with pulls
IMO the hardest part in gates of desolation is first part when you have to tame the queen, just stay back from the wurm spoor and take only 1 group at a time and im sure you'll be fine...

Plant your flag for heroes in the middle where you start out so they don't wander outside into the sands. Once you get to the wurm part it's pretty much on auto pilot. You'd have to try to fail at that part seriously.

What I did was flag the heroes and henchies' base on a high ground near the Wurm Spoor and just waited for the undead to come. When the Queen attacks, I proritize that one first, then the undead, since as a wurm, that one will do the most damage. Once you get your wurm, the rest is straightforward; blast past the Margonites, take out the Earth creatures, and if you're up for the bonus, just deviate some off Palawa Joko's path and find 3 young junudus.

My advice: say screw it, and go for the Nundu Bay, if you want to move through the storyline faster. That's what I did.
